Rail Transport Thematic Workshop Completed
Within the scope of the “Türkiye’s Net Zero Emission Target: Road Map for Transport” Project, the Rail Transport Thematic Workshop was held on 11 May 2026 at the Holiday Inn Ankara Çukurambar Hotel. The workshop reviewed the sector’s current structure and key indicators, emission trends and distribution, baseline and target scenarios for 2030-2053, and the expected emission-reduction effects of the proposed measures.
The draft strategies and action plan were presented for stakeholder review, covering actions, responsible institutions, indicators, and timing. Moderated discussions and an interactive Mentimeter session gathered views on feasibility, institutional responsibilities, gaps and areas for improvement. The inputs were intended to inform the further development of the strategy and action plan.
