Second Steering Committee Meeting of the Türkiye Net Zero Transport Roadmap Project 15 October 2025
Within the scope of the “Türkiye’s Net Zero Emission Target: Road Map for Transport” Project, the 2nd Steering Committee Meeting was held on 15 October 2025 in Ankara. During the meeting, the current progress of the project was reviewed, and updates were provided on the policy review and benchmarking studies as well as on the development of the transport emissions model. Participants were also informed about the preparation of the Strategy Document, Action Plan, and Roadmaps to be developed under the project.
During the meeting, the methodology and initial results of the transport emissions modelling activities were presented. Alternative policy scenarios covering road, rail, aviation, and maritime transport were discussed, together with strategic priorities and policy instruments for reducing emissions in the transport sector. The meeting concluded with an exchange of views aimed at strengthening institutional coordination and guiding the next phases of the project.
